Dr. Martha Lauzen from San Diego University tracks the employment numbers for women television directors, writers, producers, and cinematographers.
The number of female television directors are lower than the DGA statistics which includesminority male as well.
Some television shows did hire women directors. About 1 in 20 male directors that is.
Some shows on prime time American television did not employ even one female director.
